Her journey began with her own experiences of personal struggle and transformation. After enduring a painful divorce, she faced the daunting challenge of rediscovering who she was beyond her role as a wife. This journey to self-discovery and healing revealed a gap in resources that truly address the deep, emotional trauma tied to failed relationships. Inspired by her healing process, she journaled her thoughts and steps, eventually blossoming into a life-changing framework she now shares with women worldwide.

Her book, Beautiful Brokenness, serves as a roadmap for women who feel lost after relationship trauma, offering practical tools for emotional healing and self-discovery. It delves deeply into the emotional and psychological aspects of recovery, guiding women to face their fears, forgive the past, and embrace their true selves. Her accompanying journal, Divinely Restored-Her Journey to Wholeness, and comprehensive coaching program further support women in their transformation, focusing on healing, self-worth, and the power of reclaiming one’s life.

In her role as VP of Client Experiences of Chosen Women Empower, a faith-based, community-driven organization, she provides women with a safe space to grow and thrive, addressing their needs holistically—mind, body, and spirit. Her 24 years of service in the U.S. Air Force have instilled in her the values of discipline, integrity, and service, which she brings to her mission of helping women transform their lives.

As a wife, mother of four, and woman of faith, Shakela understands the delicate balance that many women must maintain between family life and personal growth. Her life journey took a profound turn in 2020 when she moved from Atlanta, Georgia, to California for her career. Despite the emotional challenge of leaving her support network, she felt called to ministry, ultimately authoring her first book and founding Divinely Restored LLC as a platform for transformation.
